Today, some of the mystery was lifted as the crowd was shown features under consideration that included a forward swept, strutless high wing and advanced-shaped fuselage.

According to Pelton, the aircraft engine made its first flight from Cessna facilities in Wichita, Kan., on June 23, and has since flown approximately 20 hours in the development program. parts.

“We’re absolutely delighted with the progress we’re making on this program engine.

Development of this aircraft – which is a proof-of-concept aircraft that will represent a family of airplanes – is fulfilling all our expectations, and then some,” he said. “It will set new standards in performance, comfort and safety, and will be backed by Cessna’s worldwide sales, distribution, training and service infrastructure. Cessna parts has been the undisputed leader in general aviation for more than half a century, and we intend to widen that advantage even further in the decades ahead. engine parts

Cessna NGP Model

The Cessna “Next descent Propeller” [1] Aircraft (NGP) is a
proof-of-concept design for a future group of only engine, fixed-gear, high
cantilever wing, light aircraft intended for personal, fleet training and
commercial use.

The only wing sample, registered N99110, is undergoing testing by USA
aircraft company Cessna. (cassna ngp sales) The aircraft was first seen publicly in fleet on July
24 06 at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.

Nomenclature

The aircraft was originally introduced as the “Next descent Piston”, but
starting in April 2008 Cessna have started referring to it as the “Next
descent Propeller” aircraft instead. After absorbing the recently-purchaveed
Colombia Aircraft line, now known as the Cessna 350 and Cessna 400, Cessna
indicated that it is re-positioning the NGP to fit logically into it is current
aircraft fleet. (cassna ngp sales) “Our team is working on finalizing the
configuration,” said Van Abel, Cessna’s project engineer for the NGP. “We
continue to evaluate features and materials that will produce a new, unique
aircraft group with a potential for multiple powerplants.” This indicates that
the aircraft may become turbine or diesel powered so as not to conflict with
sales of the 350 and 400

Development

Very little information have been made public about the aircraft since
development began sometime in early 2005. Cessna have validation that the NGP have
been designed specifically to compete with other, newer aircraft. Due to it is
intended role as competition for the Cirrus SR22, it is often referred to in the
aviation press as the “Cirrus Killer.”

To be competitive with the Cirrus SR22, the NGP will likely have a cruise speed
in the vicinity of 180 knots (343 km/h) TAS, a useful load around 1,150 lb (522
kg), and a base price around US$350,000. There is no information on the
aircraft’s runway length requirements at present.

The NGP mock-up displayed at AOPA Air Expo 06, in Palm Springs, California had
five seats. The aircraft is powered by a Lycoming IO-580 FADEC 320 hp engine
controlled by a only throttle lever. The aircraft have four doors with a
separate baggage door on the left side, tricycle landing gear with a castering
nose wheel and a forward-swept high-mounted wing of relatively small area.

Reportedly the sample have accumulated more than 20 hours of wing time
between it is first fleet on 23 June 06 and the fly-by on July 24 06. During
it is appearance at AirVenture it was fully painted in a factory-style paint
scheme and sported wheelpants.

Cessna President and CEO Jack Pelton validation at AirVenture 06 that the NGP
is intended to be the first of a new group of Cessna onlys that will, in the
long term, replace the Cessna 172 and 182 in production. Pelton also validation
that while the sample is wing with a Lycoming powerplant, Cessna is
examining alternative new technology engines as well. (cassna ngp sale)

The structure is a blend of composite materials and aluminum, optimizing the
available technology.

Colombian Aircraft Purchavee

In September 2007, Cess na made an offer to the bankruptcy court to purchavee
kolumbia Air craft and their line of high performance only engined aircraft.[2][3]
On 27 November 2007 Textron announced that Cessna had successfully purchaveed
Columba Air craft for USD$26.4M and would produce it is Columbia 350z and 400z as
the Cessna 350 and Cessna 400 at the Columbia factory in Bend, Oregon.
cassna ngp sales

There had been speculation that the acquisition of the Columbia line would spell
the end of the NGP project, but on September 26, 2007 Cessna Vice President for
Sales, Roger Whyte validation that development of the Cessna NGP project will
continue, regardless of the purchavee of Columbia.

Cessna Aircraft Company, headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, is a manufacturer of general aviation aircraft, specializing in small, piston-powered aircraft and medium-sized business jets.

The company traces its history to June 1911, when Clyde Cessna, ( cessna aircraft for sale ) a farmer in Rago, Kansas, built a wood-and-fabric plane and became the first person to build and fly an aircraft between the Mississippi River and the Rocky Mountains. Cessna started his aircraft ventures in Enid, Oklahoma, testing many of his early planes on the salt flats. When bankers in Enid would not loan him the money to build his planes, he moved to Wichita.[2] In 1924, Cessna partnered with Lloyd C. Stearman and Walter H. Beech to form the Travel Air Manufacturing Co., Inc., a biplane manufacturing firm, in Wichita. In 1927 he left Travel Air to form his own company, the Cessna Aircraft Company, to build monoplanes. The first flew on August 13, 1927. Cessna Aircraft Company closed its doors from 1932–1934 due to the state of the economy. In 1934, Dwane Wallace, with the help of his brother Dwight, took control of the company and began the process of building it into a global success.[3]

After World War II, Cessna created the 170,(cassna aircraft for sales) which, along with later models (notably the 172), became the most widely produced light aircraft in history. Cessna’s advertising boasts that its aircraft have trained more pilots than those of any other company. In 1985 Cessna was bought by General Dynamics Corporation and in 1986 production of piston-engine aircraft was discontinued, the company citing product liability as the cause; then-CEO Russ Meyer said that production would resume if a more favorable product liability environment were to develop. In 1992, Textron Inc. bought Cessna and, after passage of the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994, resumed production of the piston-engine 172, 182, and 206 designs. On 27 November 2007 Textron announced that Cessna had purchased bankrupt Columbia Aircraft for US$26.4M and would produce its Columbia 350 and 400 as the Cessna 350 and Cessna 400 at the Columbia factory in Bend, Oregon.[4][5] There had been speculation that the acquisition of the Columbia line would spell the end of the Cessna NGP project, but on September 26, 2007, Cessna Vice President for Sales, Roger Whyte, confirmed that development of the NGP project will continue, unaffected by the purchase of Columbia.[6] Since November 2007 the company has been involved in a public controversy regarding the outsourcing of production of its Cessna 162 SkyCatcher to the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation of the People’s Republic of China.[7] Currently, Cessna produces 2, 4 and 6 place single-engine airplanes, utility turboprops, and business jets.
